Project gallery: Brimham Aran

Here's a gallery of projects made in Brimham Aran. It's currently a very short list despite the fact that it's sold well since I introduced it (it's still a fairly new yarn). Brimham Aran (100g/180m) is superwash extrafine merino/nylon which is lovely and squishy and soft yet hardwearing. It's a brilliant choice for garments as well as accessories.  Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. Do you have a project using Brimham Aran which you would like me to include in this gallery? Email me at info@edencottageyarns.co.uk with an image and the pattern information and I will add it. Brimham High Twist: projects using this gently textured yarn

This blog post is a project gallery for Brimham High Twist - my gently textured hand dyed superwash extrafine merino/nylon high twist yarn. It's a 4ply thickness with 100g/370m and it substitutes really well into patterns calling for 4ply/fingering weight yarn. It is available HERE.  Although there are currently 70 projects listed for this yarn on Ravelry (which I won't link to), I only have a few which I've got pics of, so I need to rectify that! I do have this yarn in a number of projects where it's alongside a number of other yarns so will share...

Brimham High Twist: patterns using this gently textured yarn

Here's a gallery of patterns which call for Brimham High Twist. It's currently a very short list!! There are 70 projects listed for this yarn on Ravelry at present though, plus it always sells well, so it's not going entirely unnoticed.  Brimham High Twist (100g/370m) is superwash extrafine merino/nylon spun with a high twist to give it a subtly textured appearance. That also makes it nice and structured and sturdy for socks, although it works perfectly well for lace and garments too. It's very versatile! It takes colours in a really beautiful crisp and clear manner which is a real joy for me...

Bowland 4ply: patterns using this classic British Bluefaced Leicester wool yarn

Here's a gallery of patterns which call for Bowland 4ply, they are listed in no particular order.  Bowland 4ply is my quintessential British Bluefaced Leicester sock yarn which I have been dyeing since before ECY was a twinkle in my eye (since about 2008 - I founded ECY in 2011)! It's 100% superwash BFL with 400m to 100g, and it's my most woolly type of yarn.  Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. Do you have a pattern calling for Bowland 4ply which you would like me to include in this gallery? Email me at info@edencottageyarns.co.uk with an image and the pattern...

Combining Milburn 4ply/DK with fluffy Eldwick Lace

Following the success of the ever-popular Love Note pattern by Tin Can Knits (available on Ravelry and available from them directly HERE) and having made mine in Milburn 4ply (HERE) held double with Eldwick Lace (HERE) I thought it would be cool to do an Eldwick Lace update of 20 colours specifically chosen to go with each of the 20 Milburn colours. You can also see these pics on Flickr HERE.  Here's my Love Note (I made it using slightly smaller needles to get gauge compared to what they recommend):         And here are alllll the swatches...
